A recent study reported by The Post and Courier and conducted by SmartAsset, a financial technology firm, rated two Charleston-area communities in the top ten most affordable areas in South Carolina. The study assessed housing costs in comparison to income. Ladson and the city of Goose Creek both topped the list! Ladson ranked 4th most affordable in the state. Below are average costs for housing in Ladson:

Average median income in Ladson is $49,359. If you’re shopping for new construction in Ladson you’ll find both single family and townhome options available. Hunter Quinn Homes is building in Oakbrook Park, a community of upscale, yet affordable townhomes. Loaded with upgrades, it’s hard to believe these 3 BR 2.5 homes start in just the $120’s. Average median income in Goose Creek is $62,107. Just travel down Montague Plantation Road in Goose Creek and you’ll find an array of appealing new home communities.
