Summerville - New Housing at Carnes Crossroads Offers Buyers Great Value

Carnes Crossroads David Weekley Paired Home

Summerville’s Carnes Crossroads is offering buyers a new option in housing. David Weekley Homes has introduced a fresh design concept featuring “paired homes.”  This is David Weekley’s first offering of this kind in the Charleston market.

The paired homes at Carnes Crossroads will range in size from 1,700-2,300 SF and as the name suggests, will be attached with two homes per structure. Plans will range up to four bedrooms with three and a half baths. A selection of two-story, versatile floorplans provide a variety of choices such as the option for first-floor master bedroom suites.     These homes will provide the opportunity for a new group of homebuyer—those seeking high-quality fixtures and finishes that David Weekley is known for in their single-family homes but with a more budget-friendly price tag starting in the $200’s.

In addition to the affordable sales price, the exterior maintenance of the homes is spilt between neighbors, partially deflecting some of the typical cost of homeownership.  All homes will also include David Weekley’s EnergySaver systems, benefiting both the environment and the homeowner’s wallet.  "We know how important it is for buyers to find the perfectly appointed home, but many times the location, finishes and details that people desire drive the price beyond their budget," says Chuck Buck, broker-in-charge at Carnes Crossroads Real Estate. “The Carnes Crossroads Paired Homes present some building efficiencies that bring the base price down, allowing buyers to get into a community they might otherwise not be able to afford, or to incorporate a higher level of finishing that would blow their budget on a typical single-family home,” according to Buck.

Homebuyers can find these paired homes in the newest neighborhood within the Carnes Crossroads community, St. James Park. This neighborhood is also homes to single family homes built by Ashton Woods, Eastwood Homes, John Wieland Homes and Sabal Homes.  The neighborhood also offers apartments and assisted living facilities. Outdoor spaces and amenities abound at Carnes Crossroads with a collection of trails, parks and green space.  St. James Park is also home to a series of scenic lakes perfect for recreation.  A new 25-meter swimming pool includes beach entry; lap lanes and children’s play area. The iconic Green Barn is home to many forms of community recreation and entertainment. Carnes Crossroads is home to Northwoods Academy.  Students will attend Berkeley County public schools at Cane Bay.
