CalAtlantic’s New 2016 Models and Communities


With nearly 100 years of combined experience, Ryland and Standard Pacific have merged to create CalAtlantic Homes. This monumental merger of two iconic homebuilding companies is a historic event, positioning the newly formed company as the fourth largest homebuilder in the nation. Carrying forward the strong legacies of Ryland and Standard Pacific, the newly formed company will operate in 41 major markets in 17 states from coast to coast, including here in Charleston, Johns Island, Ladson, Mt. Pleasant, North Charleston, Ravenel and Summerville.

This year promises to be a big one for CalAtlantic as they have several new communities and models opening—in addition to Grand Bees in West Ashley and Poplar Grove in Ravenel, which opened this past summer. On Johns Island, The Landrum model will open at Lakeside Park. Located on Brownswood Rd. these spacious 1- and 2-story, 3-5 bedroom plans are approx. 1420-3621 SF and feature 2-car garages. Lakeside Park offers larger than average home sites with grand live oak trees throughout the community. Homes are priced from the $210s and while you can visit the community at 1455 Brownswood Rd., interested homebuyers can stop by the sales office at Whitney Lake for more information.

2016 will see the completion of the builder’s Fenwick model at Bowman Park Townhomes in Mt. Pleasant, and also the construction of townhomes at Grand Bees Terrace in West Ashley and at Governors Cay off Clements Ferry Rd. Bowman Park Townhomes are priced from the $370s and offer a lifestyle unlike anything else with prime location in the heart of Old Mt. Pleasant right off Bowman Rd. The small community will feature low-maintenance, luxury townhomes with a variety of 3-story, open and spacious 2-3 bedroom plans at approx. 2200-2400 SF. Homes also include covered porches and front-entry garages. Bowman Park’s sales office is located at 1365 Bowman Rd. and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10-6 and Sunday and Monday 12-6.
