RCLCO just reported that Cane Bay Plantation in Summerville is the 10th fastest-selling master-planned community mid-year in the country. Homes in the first half of 2015 sold at a quicker pace than in 2014 reflecting a 15% increase. If this pace is sustained through the remainder of the 2015 it will prove to be a much stronger year for master-planned community new construction sales than 2014. Specifically, sales are up 40% for the first half of 2015 over the latter half of 2014.
Cane Bay’s increasing popularity will come as no surprise to current homeowners. They moved to the top ten with 275 sales during the first half of the year (an approximate 27% increase since 2014). RCLCO attributes Caney Bay’s success to the strong-performing schools located within the community, the retail center (home to a Publix, along with various restaurants) and Charleston fast-growing economy. They site Boeing expansions and the incoming Volvo development as strong growth markers.
