This canal was constructed in the years just after the United States achieved independence and is today a state park.

To the east of Moncks Corner lies Francis Marion National Forest where you’ll find hiking, biking and motorcycle trails.

The Town of Moncks Corner Recreation Department offers youth sports and league play at the recently completed Moncks Corner Recreation Complex . Movies Under the Stars are also
offered there in season.
