Hundreds of 55+ Active Adults Expected to Catch Sneak Peek on Sept 12, 2025

Del Webb Point Hope invites active adults to a special Lot Walk Sept. 12th, offering a first look at select homesites, new floorplans and amenity blueprints as this highly anticipated 55+ community comes to life in Charleston.

More than 500 prospective buyers have already signed up, with another 4,000 expressing interest in the community. Attendees are expected from across the country, including locals eager to make the move to an event-filled and amenity-rich lifestyle for which Del Webb is known. Those who want to attend the Lot Walk are encouraged to join the online Interest List.

“Excitement has been building since our spring groundbreaking and this preview will literally give folks the lay of the land,” said General Sales Manager Jacob Reynolds. “While touring Del Webb at Point Hope, buyers can zero in on their preferred homesites and floorplans, then book an appointment with the community expert to get first dibs ahead of the official sales launch in October.”

Del Webb Point Hope stands out as the only age-restricted community with a City of Charleston address, offering a rare opportunity for residents to enjoy the Southern charm, culinary scene, and conveniences of the Lowcountry in a laid-back rural setting on the scenic Cainhoy Peninsula.

The golf-cart friendly community is about 14 miles from Isle of Palms, under 20 miles to downtown Charleston and less than 10 miles to Mount Pleasant Town Center.

The first release will include a selection of homes with pond views while others are just steps from the planned 25,000 square-foot state-of-the-art Clubhouse and recreation complex. Prices range from the low $500,000s up to the upper $700,000s.

Del Webb at Point Hope features three home collections with a total of 11 low-maintenance, single-story floorplans. Options include second-floor lofts, front porches, and screened-in lanais for seamless indoor/outdoor living. Choices range from two to four bedrooms and up to five-and-a-half baths, beginning at 1,345 square feet to over 2,712 square feet with options, and choices of two- or three-car garages.

Plans call for 767 homes across more than 502 acres. The gated community gives 55+ buyers another choice in Berkeley County beyond sold out award winning Del Webb at Cane Bay and Del Webb Charleston at Nexton, both in Summerville.

The expansive Clubhouse will feature a cafĂ© and catering kitchen, state-of-the-art fitness studio, indoor pool, and meeting/event space. Outdoor amenities will include a swimming pool, bocce and pickleball courts, and miles of walking trails.

Construction will begin on the Clubhouse in 2026, with completion expected in 2027. A temporary Lifestyle House will open next summer to give residents a gathering space, workout facility and pool area before the main Clubhouse is completed. A full-time lifestyle director will join the community in December to organize social events, clubs, interest groups and classes.

6 fully furnished model homes, including the Prestige and Renown, should be ready to tour in January 2026.

“Each consumer-inspired floorplan can be personalized to fit individual needs with plenty of storage to store hobby and seasonal items,” Reynolds said. “From their home, residents will enjoy easy access to downtown Charleston, Mount Pleasant and the beaches of Isle of Palms and Sullivan’s Island. This is Lowcountry living without compromise.”

The community is nestled within Point Hope, a 9,000-acre master planned community located between the Cooper and Wando Rivers on the Cainhoy peninsula, with approximately half of the land dedicated to conservation areas, preserved wetlands, buffers and natural areas. A network of trails is being developed to connect residents and visitors to Point Hope’s parks, schools, shops, eateries, and recreational offerings. The 80,000 square foot MUSC Health Clements Ferry Pavilion medical office building is expected to open later this year, offering a range of services in nearly a dozen specialties that include heart and vascular care, physical and occupational therapy, and orthopedics.

Del Webb Point Hope is located at 2337 Bay Strip Drive, Charleston.

The model home village in Del Webb Nexton, located at 1261 Del Webb Drive, also is available to tour. Or call 843-396-5900 for additional information.
