Point Hope is Your Point of Discovery.
Come explore Charleston’s newest thoughtfully designed community. So much more than a place to live, it’s a community that connects lifestyle, nature, and convenience.
About Point Hope & Its Location
Located within the City of Charleston, Point Hope is an extension of the incredible walkability, history and culture that have earned the city countless accolades. Residents will benefit from the City of Charleston’s extensive municipal services, as well as additional services and amenities in Berkeley County.
Point Hope represents Charleston’s next chapter. Convenient in so many ways, this new community provides residents with easy access to the city’s downtown Historic District, Charleston International Airport, regional highways and area beaches. It also offers close proximity to everyday shopping, dining and more, with a core of thriving businesses located right within the community.
Steeped in history,
Point Hope’s beauty is undeniable. As a treasured family gathering place for generations, the land for Point Hope was annexed into the City of Charleston as part of its overall growth plan more than 20 years ago. Through thoughtful community design and continued stewardship, Point Hope creates a bridge between the land’s legacy and its vibrant future.
Point Hope’s stunning natural Lowcountry setting is ideally located off of Clements Ferry Road halfway between Hwy 41 and I-526, making it easily accessible to North Mount Pleasant, Daniel Island, downtown Charleston, and all major regional destinations via I-526.
Parks & Trails
Point Hope is designed to facilitate access to the outdoors, important for living a healthy lifestyle. Just as it has for the neighborhoods and roadways here, the land has defined Point Hope's trails and greenways. As the community evolves, a miles-long trail network will grow to connect residents with parks, schools, shops, and other points of discovery.
The diverse trails here will range from nature footpaths to paved bikeways, with fitness stations, parks and other discovery destinations adding a sense of adventure. First Light Park features an innovative playground with activities for all ages and abilities.
About the Homes
Designed with fresh, forward-thinking elements,
homes at Point Hope reflect the community’s connection to the outdoors. The coastal contemporary style of architecture here is profoundly rooted in the Lowcountry vernacular. Three of the region’s most respected builders --
Pulte Homes, David Weekley Homes and Toll Brothers -- are bringing the homes in the neighborhoods here to life. Residents are now living in First Light, Point Hope’s inaugural neighborhood and homes in Hopewell, the second neighborhood, were introduced in summer of 2022. The builders here have created a broad and exciting selection of unique
new home plans from which to choose.
Schools
An integral part of the fabric of Point Hope are the new schools - serving grades K-12 - that are already in place to welcome the families who will live here. Philip Simmons Elementary, Middle, and High Schools are part of the celebrated Berkeley County School District, and they each incorporate a technology-rich, STEAM curriculum and a student-centered culture. Located just off our trails, the schools are just a walk or bike ride away for students living at Point Hope.
