Saussy Burbank was subsequently acquired by The St. Joe Company in 1999. Most recently, Charles E. Teal, Jim Burbank and a group of local real estate industry professionals acquired Saussy Burbank and McNeill Burbank in May 2007. During its 19 years in business, the company has built more than 5,000 new homes in Charlotte, Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and Charleston, South Carolina.
