Carnes Crossroads Begins Second Residential Neighborhood

If you visit Carnes Crossroads in Summerville you will notice signs of construction as a new village is beginning to emerge in the community. With a unique style of its own, this second residential neighborhood will complement the first immensely popular phase of the master-planned community.  St. James Park will be a system of new roads, lakes, parks and trails.  The first phase of Carnes Crossroads, St. Thomas Park, is nearly sold out with over 100 families calling it home.  “Now that we have our first neighborhood nearly complete and our streets have come alive with residents of all ages, the appeal of our community is really starting to become apparent to potential new residents...we’ve had people move here from across the country and are excited to soon have additional options for the many people interested in our growing community,” ” says Chuck Buck, broker-in-charge at Carnes Crossroads Real Estate.

St. James Park will be built by the same five acclaimed builders that constructed the first phase: Ashton Woods, David Weekley Homes, Eastwood Homes, John Wieland Homes and Sabal Homes.  Be on the lookout for some new floorplans that will be introduced.  You will still enjoy the same “small town” feel, charming homes and a community where residents live, work and play.  If you’re looking for a quicker move-in, there are several remaining homes in St. Thomas Park. Visit the Carnes Crossroads Information Center to learn more and tour the stunning model row.  The Information Center is open Mon-Sat 10-6:00 and Sunday from 12-6:00.

Located at the corners of highway 17A and 176, Carnes Crossroads is a 2,300 acre community that offers buyers an attractive lifestyle with host of amenities and the convenience of nearby businesses, schools, healthcare (including a future hospital) and a church.  Esteemed private school Northwoods Academy is in the process of moving their “upper school” (grades 6-12) to a new facility at the Carnes Crossroads Campus and the “lower school” will make the move next year.   In addition to trails, parks and a swimming pool Carnes’ refurbished Green Barn is an open-air venue that is home to a variety of events, a farmer’s market and yoga classes.
