Dallas V. Carnes began farming this land in the early 20th Century, and the Carnes Crossroads area has been a place for things to grow ever since. In tribute to the community’s agricultural heritage, the Green Barn was moved from another part of the property when planning began to take its place as a gathering space beside 25-meter pool, splash-and-play area for kids, and barnyard-themed playground.
