For the 13th year, Santa will be joining the Dorchester County Emergency Medical Services team for “Santa in an Ambulance.” In this cherished tradition, Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the EMS elves revisit pediatric patients they’ve cared for, delivering comfort, hope, and Christmas joy right to their front doors.
The Santa in an Ambulance program is funded 100% by monetary and toy donations. All monetary donations are used by Santa’s EMS Elves to purchase and wrap gifts for each of the patients. New, unwrapped toys can also be donated.
Help Bring the Magic to Life:
Those who would like to donate a gift can drop off new, unwrapped toys for ages newborn to 17, to DCFR Station 9/ Medic 5 (109 Dutch Krakeel Road, St. George), or the EMS Headquarters (821 West 5th North Street, Summerville). Toy donations will be accepted until Monday, December 15th, 2025 at 5 p.m.

On December 19, Santa will trade in his sleigh for an ambulance and help our Paramedics and EMTs deliver joy directly to the homes of these special children.
