A thriving agrihood in Goose Creek just outside of Charleston, Carnes Crossroads offers plenty of nature, active recreation, and Lowcountry lifestyle. Part of the way they build a strong sense of community is by coming together and interacting with a real working farm. Led by a team of professional farmers, the farm grows a variety of high quality produce, best suited to thrive in South Carolinas’ climate and soil. Harvests are divided equally between households through the Farm Share Program. Let's dive deeper into how it works.

The Farm Share Program is a retail model designed to be flexible and convenient for residents to enjoy.

Each household receives a set number of farm bucks, which is a digital currency automatically loaded to household accounts via the community app on January 1st of each new year. Anytime the farm store is open, you can freely spend your farm bucks on community grown items, choosing whatever type and quantity you want throughout the year.

At checkout, the farm store will look you up by name to for you to spend your farm bucks in the community app. In the app you'll be able to stay up to date with your current balance for added convenience and value. Be sure to check out the farmer's choice bags where they feature the freshest in-season veggies, fruits and herbs the farm has to offer.

Farm bucks may also be redeemed for U-Pick days where residents are invited to dig in and really enjoy a hands-on harvest experience. Just remember, farm bucks do not roll over from year to year, meaning your farm bucks will expire December 31st.
